Hump Day Prayers #12

First of all I would like to thank all of you who pray for me, its a great encouragement and reminds me that Jesus is Lord of all and in control of all. Thanks also for your prayer in relation to Greek, my initial thoughts are that I will pass and that is a great comfort.
Things are hotting up at college, but there is also lots going on in the rest of my life too.
Last Saturday I was at SMBC for a leaders meeting for KYLC (gotta love all those acronyms), it was exciting to get psyched up for this January and meet the other leaders including my co-leader, Jacqui.
The next few weeks I seem to have wedding after wedding, starting this Saturday with Michelle and Stu’s and culminating with a trip to Townsville in December for Mark’s.
Been thinking about two things to do with youth ministry this week. Contemporary Context in youth ministry for college exam prep and Sex and Marriage for youth this Friday. Might share some thoughts later once I work it all out.
Yesterday was a day of pray for college, so we spent the morning praying for those leaving college at the end of this year, it was so exciting to read and pray about where everyone was going to serve Jesus as they head out. So you can pray for the spread of the gospel too.

  • Thanks for prayer (esp Greek)
  • KYLC
  • Weddings, thanks for that blessing in their lives.
  • Youth min stuff
  • Graduates heading out to share the gospel to all corners of the globe.

Thanks yet again.

  1. David says:

are you doing the youth ministry degree at college?

  2. Duke says:

    yes i am

  3. David says:

    what are the main differences?
    many do it?
are you glad you’re doing it?

  4. Duke says:

only a couple of course differences, (no difference in 2nd yr) means i will have to philosphy during the break, there are 4 of us this year, there were none last year.
Yeah i’m glad, but at the same time, it hasn’t been overly ground breaking stuff, you have probably thought through most of what we have covered.
